Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Measure: Read specifications, calculate dimensions, and mark cut lines on metal stock.
- Prep Work: Clean, cut, grind, and clamp metal pieces together before running a bead.
- Execute Welds: Join metals securely in various positions—flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead—using correct techniques.
- Quality Control: Check finished welds for cracks, holes, or weak spots.
- Safety Compliance: Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a hazard-free workspace
Qualifications:
- Certifications: Valid credentials from recognized bodies (such as AWS or local TESDA certifications in the Philippines) proving competence in processes like MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols accurately.
- Physical Stamina & Dexterity: Steady hands, physical strength, and great hand-eye coordination to handle heavy gear and maintain a stable arc.
- Material Knowledge: Understanding of different metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) and how heat affects them.
