Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for assigned projects.
- Design motor control centers (MCC), lighting systems, grounding systems, lightning protection, cable routing, and other electrical installations.
- Develop single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, cable schedules, panel schedules, and equipment installation drawings.
- Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, short-circuit studies, and equipment sizing.
- Review project specifications, client requirements, and applicable electrical codes to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Process, Instrumentation, and Project Engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Prepare bills of materials, technical specifications, and material quantity take-offs for procurement and estimation.
- Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, and electrical equipment specifications for compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical support during project execution, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct site inspections and field verification when required to resolve design issues and ensure proper installation.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with company quality management procedures.
- Recommend design improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, reliability, and maintainability of electrical systems.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer.
Experience
- With 2–5 years of relevant experience in structural design, preferably in industrial plants, boiler systems, steel fabrication, EPC, or heavy engineering projects.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, and Microsoft Office.
- Thorough knowledge of the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP), the National Building Code, and other applicable engineering standards.
- Experience in structural steel design, reinforced concrete design, and foundation engineering.
